The
concept of the Hideaway Bar & Restaurant was first established in 1987. A cozy little restaurant/bar
perched beside an overflowing pool that runs over onto a spectacular
view. The Hideaway endeavors to create a cozy nook for cheerful
breakfasts, and long lazy lunches served daily from 8am to 2pm,
and romantic candlelight dinners served Tuesday to Saturday from
6pm to 10pm. By the way, at lunch or an early dinner, as you
gaze out over the pool and across the Caribbean Sea you will
have a stunning view of the island of Saba in the distance. The Hideaway's concept seems to have succeeded, since it did not take long for people to find them, especially those visiting the Pelican Key area. The Hideaway's international cuisine is exquisitely presented and reasonably priced with delightful portions of superb quality and tasty entrees such as Fettucine Neptune, Duck Magret, Conch Stew Creole Style and Lobster Thermidor. They have always been committed to providing guests with a high level of quality and service, and since they are not a "high volume" restaurant, guests enjoy the comfort of dining in a relaxed, romantic and elegant atmosphere. Instantly,
you'll feel that this is a special spot. The friendly staff provides
excellent service and is eager to chat and share their island's
insights with you. At The Hideaway, you'll experience the kind
of hospitality that make's you feel right at home! Unwind to the sound of carefully selected, easy - listening music, or dance with your loved one to the wonderful tunes of Les Hodge twice a week, on Thursday and Saturday. Les, who plays keyboard and also sings, often has everyone singing old songs and dancing along with himself. And, if you have a favorite song and would like to serenade the restaurant, Les will accompany you. |
