Somewhere in time, someone once said "A picture is worth a thousand words." This was coined by a man named Fred R. Barnard who wrote this phrase in an advertising trade journal promoting the use of images in advertising back in December 1921.
Is this just one man's opinion, a promotional tease or is there logic to the statement? If a single picture has a value of a thousand words, then the value of a thousand pictures strung together should be a million words or enough words to fill an encyclopedia.
